Traditional methods often rely on absorption technologies that can lead to surface scratching, particularly on highly polished surfaces.
Intercept Technology™ products are free from volatiles that could coat surfaces and do not contain anti-block agents. These agents, typically silica added to plastics, prevent sticking but can be abrasive and cause scratching. In contrast, our products transcend the limitations of absorption technologies. While absorption methods may scratch surfaces and require minimum levels of corrosive gases to function effectively—often above typical environmental levels—they can also allow for de-absorption due to changes in temperature or humidity.
Our technology utilizes reactive polymers, where copper is integrated into the polymer matrix in a non-migratory form. This allows the copper to react with and permanently neutralize atmospheric pollutants (corrosive gases), keeping metal surfaces pristine. The highly reactive copper within Intercept Technology™ products can even react with trace amounts of corrosive gases, regardless of gas concentration; higher concentrations simply enhance the speed and efficiency of the reaction.
